506 in new PNP draw invited by BC
So far in 2021, BC had initiated the PNP invitations to over 2,432 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
On March 16, the BC had issued over 506 new invitations to be applied for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.
The candidates to which the invitations were
issued came
under those who received invitations were from the Skilled Worker,
International Graduate, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams. The Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) had managed the invitation criteria that were to be issued for the candidates.
These retail and wholesale trade managers (NOC 0621) and restaurant and food service managers (NOC 0631) were based on the two separate draws. These occupational candidates had the minimum provincial score of 114, and thus about 78 invitations had been sent over to them.
428 remaining candidates were invited based on the scores between 81 and 96.

Therefore, in 2021, about 2,432 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates were invited by BC (British Columbia).
About the BC PNP
For those foreign candidates with high proficient skills in the province and also want to get their Canadian permanent residence, BC aims to attract them by sending over invitations.
Two immigration streams of B.C, Skills Immigration and Express Entry are both managed by the B. C’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). It is required to be equipped with a registered account in order to apply through the SIRS. Thereby, based on the above requirement and the basic profile requirements like age, education, work experience, language skills, they fulfil to be of the eligibility criteria.
As B.C conducts it’s regular draws, every high scoring candidates in each subcategories are sent invitations by the provincial nomination. These invitations take about 30 days to process after having filled the online BC PNP application.
After having submitted the BC PNP the province’s decision notified with a 2 months in approximation with confirmation of whether your nomination is successful. Once this is done, you are eligible to apply to Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Class. The time expiration of the nomination is over aix months from the date it gets its confirmation.
Express Entry BC stream
It is linked with the Federal Express Entry streams, IRCC’s Express Entry programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
Their CRS scores (Comprehensive Ranking System) and capital of their profile details as age, education, work experience and language skills.
In order to get invitations by the ITAs, it is required to attain additional 600 points through Express Entry under the CRS.
