284 PNP candidates invited in the new Express Entry draw

More candidates to apply for the PNP draw in comparison to the past year. On March 31, Canada held a new PNP draw where new candidates around 284 had applied for the permanent residency.

With the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) the minimum score was 778, usually candidates are invited through nominations from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

In comparison with the score prior, this might seem much higher than the previous score cut off of 449, but on the brighter side, additional 600 points get added to their score once PNP draw is accessed to them. 

As per the tie-break rule, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) candidates with the minimum score of 778 were included as an administrative requirement only after submission of their Express Entry profiles regardless of any draw taken place. 

Domestic candidates been targeted for immigration Canada

With ambition of welcoming new permanent Immigrants about 401,000 new immigrants, through Express Entry-managed programa, led by the liberal party. So despite of the prevailing international immigration bans, Canada plans to invite the domestic new entries. Ever since, IRCC had been holding PNP specific draws to meet their aspired targets candidates.

In March 2020, Canadian borders were closed down the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were invited by the PNP-specific draws, but since the start of this new year, the IRCC had been on hold regarding PNP- and CEC-specific draws.  But recently on Feb 16, candidates eligible for CEC were given invitations, and this resulted into a huge draw of number of ITAs that IRCC those which were issued prior to the years before which is around 44,124  invites. 

Express Entry draws required the scores eligibility of 600, and CEC draw were dependant on the candidates that were invited by the IRCC. CEC draws were the factors that were required by CRS requirement based on its eligibility of candidates. Lower-scoring candidates  were invited for the CEC draws due to no Foreign Skilled Worker Program. 

Express Entry and their eligibility criteria 

 Express Entry is a systematic management of Immigrants based on the federal immigration programs inclusive of the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. For the application of the permanent residence, one needs to check their eligibility through these Express Entry programs. Based on your profile of work experience, education, age, and official language ability,  score gets allotted to the respective candidate. Meanwhile, the highest-scoring candidates  were invited by the IRCC through the round of invitations accordingly. These invited candidates receive ITA, which helps them in further consideration to apply for the permanent residence.
