The federal government took an initiative to hasten up the number of Occupations that are not eligible to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment in Alberta on November 2020.However, candidates had piqued up with several queue stating that though they had been invited and are working in the Occupation, they still aren’t acceded as the government wouldn’t process the LMIA.

Alberta had issued over 6200 nomination invites, but as pandemic crashed over, the province had to reduce it’s nomination upto 4000. These issues were done during June 2020 which led to no draws in the latter half of the year.
